Abstract: | Experience with renal homotransplantation during the last six years has made it apparent that the path from the terminal stages of chronic renal failure to renal transplantation is not always smooth and can expose the patient to a series of events which have a definite morbidity and mortality. This communication describes the various problems encountered in the period leading up to transplantation. In addition. the factors thought to be significant in their development and management will Be discussed. |
