Analysis on the eff ect of early nursing intervention in children with viral encephalitis

Objective To investigate the ef fect of early nursing intervention in children with viral encephalitis and ef fect on the time of symptom disappearance. Methods A total of 263 children with viral encephalitis admitted to the hospital from January 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into a control group(n=130) and an observation group(n=133) according to the principle of feature matching between groups. The control group was given routine nursing, the observation group was given early nursing intervention based on the control group. The symptoms disappeared time, quality of life score and complication rate were compared between the two groups after nursing intervention. Results After early nursing intervention,the symptoms of convulsion, speech disorder, limb dysfunction and consciousness disorder disappeared in the observation group were shorter than the control group. The quality of life score of observation group was higher than the control group. The complication rate of respiratory tract infection, phlebitis and pulmonary edema in observation group was lower than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Early nursing intervention could shorten the disappearance time of convulsion, speech disorder, limb dysfunction and consciousness disorder in children with viral encephalitis. Improve the quality of life score of children, reduce the incidence of respiratory infection, phlebitis, pulmonary edema complications.
