和美国肿瘤放射学权威专家Timmerman教授的国际对话——谈转移瘤的局部治疗

《临床医师肿瘤杂志》（CA Cancer J Clin）是国际肿瘤领域权威期刊之一，其SCI影响因子为74．575。美国、加拿大等7名权威教授在2009年第4期发表了1篇综述：Local surgical，ablative，and radiation treatment of metastases。在这篇文章中，作者从手术、消融、放疗三方面阐述了肝、肺转移瘤治疗策略。资料论证既有广度，又有深度。作者还进一步对具体转移瘤提出治疗建议，这些建议都具有很好的临床指导意义。但是，我在反复研读后，却发现这篇文章似乎存在一些问题，于是提出了三点质疑：第一，作者谈到肝脏转移瘤的射频消融治疗时，对于术后的评估讨论很不充分；第二，作者误用肺部CT图片来说明肝脏射频消融过程；第三，图3注解中发生专业词汇用法不当。2009年7月，以上质疑作为Letter发表在《CA Cancer J Clin》上。

International conversation with American radiology oncologist professor Timmerman about local treatment of metastases

CA Cancer J Clin is a top cancer journal with impact factor 74.575 in 2008. Seven professors published an excellent review with title ＂Local Surgical, Ablative, and Radiation Treatment of Metastases＂ in CA Cancer J Clin, 2009 Vol. 59/No. 4. In this paper, authors extensively discussed the local strategy for the treatment of metastases in liver and lung. Recommendations for the treatment of several kinds of tumors with liver or lung metastases were suggested, which were meaningful for guidance in clinic. However, I found three points in the section of RFA Technical Issues Liver Metastases that are perhaps not correct and may misguide the readers. So, I wrote a letter to editor, and the letter was published in CA Cancer J Clin on July 27, 2009. Professor Timmerman responded quickly with acknowledgement.
