Two Surgical Treatments for Benign Parotid Comparative Observation of Superficial

Objective To investigate the diference of clinical results between partial and total resection of superficialgland as two surgical approaches of superficial parotid gland benig ntunlors.Methods 90 cases of superficial parotid gland be nigh tumor were collected from,among which 60 eases were performed with parotid tumor and partial superficial loberesection while facial nerve was routinely dissected.30 cases were perform ed with parotid tumor and total superficial loberesestion.facial paralysis and recurrence.Results The recurrence rate of these two approaches is 6.3%（12/60）and 5.0%（6/30）respectively,while the rate ofsaliva fistula,facial paralysis were much a like.Conclusion There is no diference on the clinical outcomeof superficial parotid gland benign tumor treatment between these two surgical methods.
