Effect of Patient's Education on Behavior of the Patients with Femoral Neck Fracture

Sixty patients with femoralneck fracture (FNF) were randomly divided into two groups control group, receivingclinical routine treatment and nursing; experimental group, receiving treating teachingbesides clinical routine treatment and nursing. The teaching measures included individualintroduction, booklet, demonstration and guide to family important members. The behaviorof the patients in the two group were assessed by using FNF behavioral questionnaire. Theresults showed that the behavior of the patients in the experimental group had a positivechange with a higher sitting-up rate, a higher correct rate of functional exercise andwalking stick use, milder quadriceps atrophy, a bigger range of hip movement and betterdaily living activity. There was a significant difference between the two groups. It wasindicated that patient education is an effective measure to change the patients' behaviorand promote the functional recovery of the patients with FNF.
