Abstract: | A patient (age seventy-nine) is presented who was operated upon for carcinoma of the stomach. Total gastrectomy was performed. The patient made an uneventful convalescence and I believe is the oldest patient to survive this procedure. At the time of this writing, almost three months following operation, his recovery has continued to run a smooth course. |
