| 摘 要： | 】 ObjectiveTo study therelationship between mutant p53 expression and apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)from a high aflatoxin B1 contaminated area. MethodsApoptoticcells and mutant p53 protein were detected by techniques of in situ terminaldeoxynucleotide transferase labelling and immunohistochemical S-P method in 56paraffin-embedded tissues of HCC. ResultsApoptotic index was 3.81‰in the HCC with positive expression of mutant p53, this was significant higher than thatof 1.74‰ in mutant p53 negative cases (P<0.05). ConclusionsThemutant p53 protein which is associated with aflatoxin B1 may stimulatemalignant cell proliferation,meanwhile a higher apoptotic rate is the associatedphenomenon of high proliferation rate, is contributory to selective proliferation of thoseclone with higher proliferative ability.
