| Abstract: | Tyrosine protein kinase (TPK) was first identified and its activity variation in cell cycle of cultured rabbit aortic smooth muscle cells(ASMC) was studied. With the entry of G0 cells into cell cycle, there was a decrease in TPK activity with the lowest point at 6hr (56%) and an increase in late G1 with a peak at 9hr (156%), regarding G0 TPK activity as 100%. This result suggests that TPK may play a positive effect on the proliferation of ASMC. |
