Abstract: | Whole blood transfusions as usual are often not effective. The high fluid level overloads the circulatory system and the share of red blood corpuscles improves the hematocrit inconsiderably. On the contrary after application of erythrocyte suspension which has reducted volume the hematocrit increases and risks of the circulatory system will be prevented. Risks by means of whole-blood transfusions; advantages, indications, and production of erythrocyte concentrations are outlined. |
