Papillary serous tumors of the ovary: An electron microscopic study

Fifteen papillary cystic tumors of the ovary were studied by electron microscopy. These consisted of eight serous cystadenocarcinomas, one recurrent cystadenocarcinoma, one borderline tumor, and five benign cystadenomata. Multiple samples were studied both by light and electron microscopy. Electron microscopic criteria previously described as useful in distinguishing between benign and malignant lesions were not found to be sufficiently consistent to be useful.
