| Abstract: | The purpose of this pictorial essay is to show the limitations of sonography and complementary usefulness of specimen radiography in detecting microcalcifications of the diffuse sclerosing variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma, which mostly manifests as diffusely scattered microcalcifications in the thyroid gland. |
