Abstract: | Life-threatening conditions requiring urgent medical treatment rarely present to the ophthalmolgist. This case report describes a patient with precipitious visual loss as the primary complaint and which subsequently led to the diagnosis of Toxoplasmic papillitis and life-threatening cerebral involvement as an initial manifestation of AIDS. |
