Value of transrectal contrast-enhanced ultrasound in biopsy of prostate cancer

Objective To explore the application value of transrectal contrast - enhanced ultrasound（CEUS） in biopsy of prostate cancer. Methods The clinical data of 487 patients with suspected prostate cancer were anaiyzed. In study group, CEUS was performed on 85 patients with SonoVue and CPS before prostate biopsy, while in control group, prostate biopsy was performed on 402 patients without CEUS. Then the positive rate was compared between the two groups. Results The CEUS appearance of prostate cancer nodules in study group were high enhancement and early regression in early phase. The positive rate of prostate cancer biopsy in study group and control group was 43.53% and 28.11% ,respectively （P 〈0.05 ）. There was no significant difference of the amount of biopsy and the complication incidence rate between the two groups （ P 〉 0.05 ）. Conclusion CEUS can improve the biopsy rate of prostate cancer, it is worth spreading to use in clinic.
