| Abstract: | From the ethanolic extracts of the aerial parts of Fagopyrum cymosum, eleven compounds were isolated, of which eight have been identified as benzoic acid(1), beta-sitosterol(2),5,5'-di-alpha-furaldehyde dimethyl ether(3), p-hydroxybenzoic acid(4), rutin(5), quercetin(6), daucosterol(7), succinic acid(8) by spectroscopic methods. Compound 3 is obtained from the genus for the first time. |
