Application of controller medications on bronchial asthma during pregnancy

Bronchial asthma(asthma)should be controlled during pregnancy to ensure maternal and infant health.Different dosages of inhaled corticosteroid(preferably budesonide)are recommended for different levels of persistent asthma,and when illness can not be well controlled,other asthma controller medications should be selected according to the US Food and Drug Administration(FDA)pregnancy category ratings and the 2004 updated recommendations from the national asthma education and prevention program (NAEPP).The safety and effectiveness of many asthma controller medications during pregnancy are still uncertain and need further investigation.
