The clinical application of transumbilical single port laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Objective:To investigate the clinical application of transumbilical single port laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC). Methods:The clinical data of 25 patients who underwent transumbilical single port LC were retrospectively analyzed.Specific channels were inserted through the umbilicus,the gallbladder was excised using specific equipment and removed through the umbilicus. Results:The 25 cases were successfully performed without complications.The operative time was 30 to 70min,which was gradually shortened with the increase of the number of cases. Conclusions:The transumbilical single port LC is safe and feasible,but more difficult than traditional LC.It has a new learning curve,indications should be carefully chosen,specific equipment should be used,and surgeons must be familiar with the traditional LC.The minimally invasive and cosmetic result is much better than the traditional LC.It can achieve the purpose of no visible scars at the abdomen,and has clinical value of generalization.
