Abstract:We have examined the effects of commercially available preparations and drug-free solvents of Midazolam (Dormicum) and Propofol (Disoprivan) by N-formyl-methionyl-leucyl-phenylalanine ( FMLP ) -induced polymorphonuclear cell (PMN)chemiluminescence system. In the case of propofol and drug-free solvent, PMN chemiluminescence was suppressed. With Midazolam, only the active drug depressed PMN chemiluminescence.
