Abstract:Objective:To understand the prevalence of HBV and HCV infections in druggers, and ALT alteration of druggers with HBV or HCV infection. Methods:Druggers in Zhanjiang city were chosen for subjects, whose HCV and HBV infections and ALT alterations were determined. Results:The positive rate of HBsAg and infectious rates of HCV and HBV were24.61%, 57.87% and 67.32% ,respectively, which were much higher than 11.03%,0.91% and 51.96% ,respectively in control group. But no statistical significance was observed between nonintravenous druggers and the control group. For intravenous druggers, abnormal ALT rates were 15.69% in subjects with only HBV infection,33.33% in subjects with only HCV infection and 45.50% in subjects with mixed infections of HBV and HCV. Except the ALT rate of subjects with only HBV infection ,significant differences in ALT rates of subjects with only HCV and with mixed infectionswere found between intravenous druggers and nonintravenous druggers. Conclusion:Intravenous drugtaking was primary way for druggers to be infected with HBV and HCV. HCV infection played an important role in resulting in ALT alteration.
