Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of vitamin K2 intake on reducing the risk of angiosteosis in he-modialysis patients. Methods According to the intake of vitamin K2, 75 patients with hemodialysis in Liuzhou Work-er's Hospital from January 2014 to September 2016 were randomly divided into three groups: 360 μg group, 720 μg group and 1080μg group, with 25 patients in each group. All the patients were treated with vitamin K2 for 8 weeks. Ex-pression of growth arrest-specific protein 6 (Gas6) were observed before and after treatment among three groups, and Its correlation with vitamin K2 concentration were statistically analyzed. Results Gas6 decline rate of 1080 μg group (42.8%) was significantly higher than that of 360μg group (16.4%) and 720μg group (28.4%), P<0.01. Spearman corre-lation analysis showed that there was a negative correlation between the dose of vitamin K2 intake and the change of Gas6 level (r=-0.24, P<0.01). Conclusion Vitamin K2 intake can effectively reduce the risk of vascular calcification in patients with hemodialysis.
Keywords:Vitamin K2  Growth arrest-specific protein 6 (Gas6)  Angiosteosis  End-stage renal disease (ESRD)  Hemodialysis
