THE INFLUENCE OF ALPHA-TOCOPHEROL AND DIETARY FATS ON RAT ERYTHROCYTE LIPIDS |
| |
Abstract: | Changing the dietary fat from lard to corn oil increases the linoleate of rat erythrocyles from about 6 to about 11 per cent of total fatty acids. No other striking changes in the lipids were observed in this study. Dietary α-tocopherol did not alter the erythrocyte lipids of rats on corn oil or lard diets. |
