Abstract: | As large corporations increasingly dominate the American economy, nurses are finding they need to know how they can influence corporate decision making. Nurses may interact with corporations in several ways: as an employee of a corporation, as a consumer of services or products of the corporation, as a beneficiary of corporate funds through grants or gifts to individual nurses, or to nursing groups or to community projects sponsored by nurses and others. This article discusses how nurses can interact with corporations on behalf of nursing and the general public. |
