| Abstract: | Critical and severe stenosis was produced on the left circumflex coronary artery of 1.5 mongrel dogs. Systolic time intervals (STI), isovolumic intervals (ICRT) and their indices (ICRT/LVET)were measuied. The results are as follows: The index of PEP/LVET in STI increased by 18% and 36%, ICRT 18% and 41%, ICRT/LVET 28% and 66%. The percent changes (A%) of these new indices of ICRT, ICRT/LVET were larger than that of routine indices PEP and PEP/LVET. We think the new indices not only reflect systolic function but also diastolic function. Hence they are more sensitive and all-sided than PEP and PEP/LVET. |
