Two cases report on cystine stone and literature reviews

Objectives To discuss the diagnosis, treatment, and clinical features of cystine stone and review literatures. Methods Two cases of clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical features and prognosis were also analyzed and the relevant literatures were reviewed. Results Preoperative imaging examination of CT and KUB showed stones in renal pelvis and ureter. Both of cases discharged after surgery. Postoperative infrared spectrum analysis revealed cystine stone. Conclusions The cystine stone patients are very rare, commonly with high recurrence rate. The earlier surgery is necessary to avoid the presentation of complications, such as hydronephrosis, renal functional lesion.
