Transurethral plastmakinetic resection of prostate for treatment in high -risk benign prostatic hyperplastia
Abstract:Objectives To investigate the safety, surgical effects and round the surgical operation expects of preparation work of transurethral vaporization of the prostate in old and high risk benign prostatic hyperplastia patients. Methods We performed transurethral vaporization of the prostat in 23 cases old and risk benign prostatic hyperplastia. We summarized round the surgical operation expects of preparation work, operation skills and regulation. we also compared after operation of Qmax, the Internation Prostate symptom scores ( IPSS), quallity of life chang(QOL). Results Surgery time is 35 ~ 88min , the mean time is 62 min. 85% sufferers complete surgical operation in the 40 ~60 mins. The mean weight of the gland resected is 36g(21 ~86g) ,The mean volume of blood loss is 320ml (230 ± 80ml), 2 sufferers transfuse blood. No transurethral resection syndrome(TURS) was occurred.No case had died during the hospital stay. The follow -up time is 12 months. First month,the sixth months,the 12th month. The Qmax from before the operation (5.3 ± 3. 2 ) ml/s, rises to respectively ( 15.5 ± 4. 1 ) ml/s. ( 19. 6 ±4. 1 ) ml/s, ( 21. 2 ±4.8. ) mL/s. The IPSS from before the operation 23.6, drop to respectively 16.3 ; 10.8 ;7.7.The QOL from before the operation 5.5, drop to respectively 1.8 ; 1. 6 ; 1. 3. There is statistic significance between them( p <0.05 ). Conclusions Transurethral vaporization of the prostate in old and high risk benign prostatic hyperplasia patients is safe and efficacious.
