| Abstract: | The medial collateral Iigament injury ofelbow joint may be produced by valgus stre4sswith the arm in extension and abduction or inextension, abduction and slight backward incli-nation The injury presents definite clinical fea-tures If injury is severe, the abnormal passivevajgus movement of elbow joint is at least 30degrees. Operative technic for repairing theruptured medial collateral ligament is intro-duced. From the operative findings of traumaticpathologic changes, the rapid recovery of normalfunction in 10 cases after operation and simp-licity of the operative technic, surgical repairis recommended in severe injury of the medialcollateral ligament. |
