Abstract: | Bacterial vaginosis is increasingly associated with adverse sequelae in obstetrics such as preterm prelabour rupture of membranes, preterm labour and preterm birth. It is important to diagnose the condition early in pregnancy where appropriate treatment can be administered to women who are symptomatic or who are at high risk of adverse sequelae. |
