| Abstract: | Nucleolar organizer region associated argyrophil proteins(AgNOR)technique wasused to investigate the changes of nuclear AgNOR with the resected trophoblastic tumor spec-mens of 80 cases and l0 normal placental tissues. It was found that there was significant differ-ence in the mean number of the AgNOR between the groups(P< 0. 0l ) execpt for that in thegroup of hydatidiform mole and malignant change of hydatidiform mole. This study also showedthat there was significant difference in the sizes of the AgNOR(PsT<0. 01 Csr=0. 6;PcT<0.0ICcT=0.4).It suggested that this method may help in differentiating benign tumors from malig-nant and typing malignant tumors, AgNOR technique showed no referential values in malignantchange of hydatidiform moles. |
