The Application Effect of Student Standardized Patients in Pre-practice Skills Training of Midwifery Profession

Objective To explore the application effects of student standardized patients in pre-practice skills training for midwifery professionals.Methods A total of 98 students from two classes of the 2017 three-year midwifery major in the college who will be internship were selected,of which 50 students in class 1 were enrolled in the experimental group,and 48 students in class 2 were in the control group.The experimental group applied the student standardized patient(SSP)model training,and the control group applied comprehensive skills training before routine practice in the hospital.Results After the completion of the skills training,the training results of the two groups of students(case analysis,nursing consultation,operation skills,health education)and two groups of student satisfaction questionnaire surveys were analyzed after the training.The training results and satisfaction of the students in the experimental group after training were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(t=6.416,χ2=4.680,P<0.05).Conclusion The application of student standardized patients in the pre-practice skills training of midwifery majors can effectively improve the practical training performance of midwifery majors,and the teaching effect is significant.Students are generally satisfied with the teaching method.
