Rheumatoid-like nodules presenting as “pump bumps” in a patient without rheumatoid arthritis

Bilateral “pump bumps” removed from the heels of a 23-year-old woman had the histologic appearance of rheumatoid nodules. The patient had no symptoms, physical signs or laboratory evidence of rheumatoid arthritis.
