Abstract: | Summary Investigations were performed on 97 subjects occupationally exposed to lead and zinc. The levels of lead in blood and zinc in plasma were used as measures of exposure. All subjects were divided into nine groups according to lead blood levels, and the excretion of S-aminolevulinic acid in urine was investigated in each group. Additionally, the criterion of zinc level in plasma was applied. Mixed exposure to lead and zinc leads to a decrease of ALA levels in urine in comparison with single exposure to lead alone. |
