Influence of Compound Chinese Herbal Medicine of Blood-activating and Urine-inducing on Endothelin (ET) and Nitric Oxide (NO) Levels on Patients with Carotid Atherosclerosis

Objective：To observe the influence of compound Chinese herbal medicine of blood-activating and urine-inducing on serum endothelin （ET） and nitric oxide （NO） levels on patients with carotid atherosclerosis. Method： 56 cases selected were randomly divided into two groups. Atorvastatin calcium pills for oral use were given to the control group, 20 mg/d,while compound Chinese herbal medicine of blood-activating and urine-inducing was added to the control group based on the treatment for the control group. The medication for both gTOUpS lasted for 90 days,and serum NO together with ET levels were observed and compared before and after treatment. Results： NO level after treatment in both groups was higher than that before in the same group （P〈0.05）, ET level to the contrary （P〈0.05）. Compared with the control group,NO and ET level after in the treatment group were improved more significantly （P〈0.05）. Conclusion：Added compound Chinese herbal medicine of blood-activating and urine-inducing could furtherimprove the function ofendangium.
