Effect of T2 toxin on lipid fluidity and peroxidation of erythrocyte membrane of rats

In the present investigation,thechange of lipid fluidity andperoxidadon of raterythrocyte membrane treated with the trichothecenemvcotoxin T2 in vitro were examinel The results show-ed that T2 toxin had dose and time一detpendent effectson lipid fluidity of erythrocyte membrane。At T2 toxindoses of 1.0 and 10.0 mg·L-1 the membrane lipid flu-idity increased with the incubation time,at 100.0 mg·L-1,the highest dose tested,during the first 5 h,themembrane lipid fluidity increased,but then after 5 h,Feturned to the control level.In the tested doses of 5、0and 100.0mg·L-1,T2 toxin did not induced changeof concentration of membrane lipid peroxides.Thechange of erythrocyte membrane flexibility was one ofthe expression parameters of membrane injury inducedby T2 toxin。this change may be caused by T2 toxin in-teracting directly with the erythrocyte membrane。
