Abstract: | Of thirty-nine children over a year old with Wilms' tumour, fifteen had macroscopic haematuria at diagnosis. They had shorter survival times despite being similar to the rest in terms of treatment, age, stage of disease, histological appearances, blood pressure and the presence of abdominal pain. This suggests that haematuria complicating Wilms' tumour relates to an inferior prognosis, which, if confirmed, could be relevant to planning therapy. |
