The Value of Computed Tomography in Radiation Treatment for Multiple Myeloma

Plain radiography has traditionally been used in the radiological evaluation of multiple myeloma. Frequently, however, plain radiographs are inconclusive even in the presence of active disease. Computed tomography is a specific and sensitive modality that can detect early destructive bone lesions not shown by plain radiographs.
