| Abstract: | Two children aged 11 and 9 years were operated upon for acute appendicitis and were discovered to have cystic fibrosis: the histologic pattern of the removed appendix was typical for this disorder. Appendicitis may thus be the first presenting sign of occult cystic fibrosis. |
