| Abstract: | The DNA fragments were generated by PCR amplification of the ribosomal spacer region between the 16s and 23s rRNA genes of porphoromonas gingivalis. The PCR products were subsequently subjected to a heteroduplex mobility assay for the analyses of heteroduplexes. The result showed heteroduplex hands at different position in the gel lane from 6 of die 13 samples. The percentage of sequence variation calculated with the formula fell between 13 .4 and 22.4%. |
