The Operative Coordination of Vitrectomy and Silicon Oil Filling for Complicated Retinal Detachment

Vitrectomy combined with silicon oil filling for 68 cases of complicated retinal detachment was performed with the successful rate being 95%. The following operative coordination points were summarized. Before operation, the patients were visited, the pupils dilated, the machines adjusted, and the consumptive stuff and irrigate solution prepared. During operation, the ECG and blood oxygen saturation were monitored, and the constants of machines changed according to the operative procedures. After operation, the machines were closed orderly, various ends and tubes cleaned, and the instrument which touched silicon oil was cleaned lonely.;
