STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF 5384 CASES OF ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL NEOPLASM,CYST AND TUMOR LIKE LESIOH IN HUBEI AREA |

| Abstract: | This paper reports 5384 cases of oral maxillofacial tumor,cyst and tumorlike lesion examined in our department during 1962～1982. Of these cases, there were 20.51％ cyst, 7.65％ tumor-like lesion and 71.81％ benign and malignant tumor. Most of the malignant tumor were squamous cell carciaoma (55.20％) which occurred more commonly in tongue than in gingiva and lip. Among the benign tumor, mixed tumor and vascular tumor were common. Salivary tumor predominantly occurred in parotid gland (43.89％) and seldom in other glands. Ameloblastoma was the most common type of the odontogenic tumor (56.76％). |
