| Abstract: | Plastic embedd3d sections of myelinating tissue cultures of embryo mouse spinal cord were immunostained for glial fibrillary (GFA) protein and for myelin basic protein (MBP). It was observed that glial cells and myelin sheaths develop in these cultures very similarly to those in the intact animal. Therefore the combination of organotypic tissue cultures with immunostains is a valuable tool for the study of demyelinating diseases. |
