Abstract: | Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is defined as a subtype that is negative for estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2. We introduce the theme of the special issue concerning clinicopathological characteristics and prospective treatment strategies of TNBC. This special issue consists of five conference papers that have been agreed on by the speakers and the commentator of the symposium of the 16th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Breast Cancer Society in September 2008 in Osaka. |
