Abstract: | The immunofluorescence and peroxidase-antiperoxidase methods for immunohistochemistry were used to show that a small number of neurones in the nucleus basalis magnocellularis of ferret stain positively for what appears to be tyrosine hydroxylase, a marker for catecholaminergic neurones. With a double immunocytochemical staining method, it was confirmed that the tyrosine hydroxylase-like immunoreactivity is localized in neurones that also stain strongly for choline acetyltransferase. |
