| Abstract: | The presence and levels of hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA and immunoglobulin M (IgM) and IgG antibodies against the virus core protein were determined in 449 serum specimens. Despite the fact that a relationship between the presence, but not the levels, of HCV RNA and HCV IgM was observed, the significance of HCV core IgM assays seems limited. |
