| Abstract: | We describe an alternative method for the treatment of an entrapped stone basket. When efforts to remove an engaged stone through the intramural ureter met with marked resistance, the basket with the stone within it was advanced into the renal pelvis. Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy then was used to pulverize the stone, allowing successful removal of the basket. |
