| Abstract: | Objective Apoptosis related gene Bcl-2and Bax in osteosarcoma patients with diffe rent clinical appearance were being studied to analyze the prognosis of the patient s.Method The cases were divided into two diffe rent groups according to the results of the follow-up.33cases in high-risk group and 18cases in low risk group.Expression of Bcl-2and B ax were immunohistochemically stai ned by ABC method.Result Positive expression rate of Bcl-2wa s 61%in high risk group(20/23)and 33%in low risk group(1/8).Positive expression of Bax was22%in high risk group(6/27)and 67%in low risk group(12/18).Conclusion Expression of Bcl-2and Bax was relat ed to the prognosis of osteosarcoma.Positively expressed Bcl-2in osteosarcoma cells may i ndicate bad prognosis.If Bax is high ly expressed in osteosarcoma cells,this may indicated a good prognosis. |
