| Abstract: | Using polymerase chain reaction (PCR ), We screened blood specimens takenfrom 61 cases of clinically diagnosed myocarditis, 5 cases with cardiomyopathy and 3 cases withendocardial fibroecastosis, The results showed that the positive rates were 49. 1%, 40% and0% respectively. Pathogen of PCR positive children with myocarditis was Coxsackie virus(CBV). The incidences and positive rates of spring were higher than those of summer and winter (P<0. 05 respectively). There was relation between cardiomyopathy with CBV, This atudyindicates that it is a rapid, effective and sensitive method in diagnosing myocarditis. |
