Application of the Weighted Composite Index Method in the Hospital Management

A weighted composite index method applied to comprehensively evaluating the hospital management is introduced in this article. This method was used to make a comprehensive evaluation of the management of all the departments in our hospital in 1993. It proved a simple but practical method. The essential procedures for this method are: (l)to use the delphi-method to select the target system and decide the experience weighted number, (2) to determine the value for plan targets, (3) to make calculation for example with the calculating equation, (4) to draw a quality control diagram, bar-diagram.
