Abstract:
To summarize the characteristics of zoonotic coronaviruses infection and its cross-species transmission mechanisms,and to provide references for the prevention of emerging infectious diseases caused by zoonotic coronaviruses. Methods ‘Coronavirus’, ‘animal’, ‘infection’ and ‘cross-species transmission’ were used as subject words to search CNKI, WanFang Data, PubMed database by the end of June 30, 2020. A total of 910 Chinese publications and 1374 English publications were searched. After excluding duplicate and irrelevant studies, 156 publications were summarized. Results Zoonotic coronaviruses have a wide range of hosts and can cause diverse clinical symptoms. Mutation and recombination play an important role in the process of its cross-species transmission. Conclusion It is necessary to reinforce the research on the monitor of zoonotic coronaviruses and pay close attention to the variation of spike protein. Further research on the mechanisms of cross-species transmission may still be needed.
