Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between the early serum soluble tumor necrosis factor like weak apoptosis inducer(sTWEAK)level and white matter lesions(WMLs)in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods 184 patients with acute cerebral infarction who were hospitalized in our hospital from February 2018 to December 2019 were randomly selected as the research objects. According to the Fazekas scale score, the patients were divided into four groups. The general information of each group was compared, and the correlation between WMLs and sTWEAK levels in different degrees was analyzed.Results There were no significant differences in gender, hypertension prevalence, diabetes prevalence and TG expression level among the groups(P>0.05), but there were significant differences in age, coronary heart disease prevalence, TC expression level, HDL expression level and LDL expression level(P<0.05). There were significant differences in sTWEAK levels among different WMLs groups(P<0.01). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the severity of WMLs was positively correlated with age and sTWEAK(r=0.421, 0.485, P<0.05), and positively correlated with TC and LDL levels(r=0.523, 0.401, P<0.05).Conclusion The early serum sTWEAK level was closely related to WMLs in patients with acute cerebral infarction, and increased with the severity of WMLs. It was expected to become one of the potential biological indicators to predict the degree of WMLs.
