Study of diffusion weighted imaging and tensor imaging in traumatic brain injury

Dffusion weighted imaging(DWI) and diffusion tensor imaging(DTI) were imaging technology that were dependent on the molecular motion of water.The methods could provide useful information of brain physcal and pathology status,such as traumatic brain injury(TBI) especially diffusion axonal injury(DAI).These were important for early diagnosis,clinical treatment,assessment of the long-term prognosis of TBI.As complement to of conventional MR techniques,DWI and DTI were quantitative,non-invasive imaging modality for studying the mechanism of occurrence concerning TBI and its secondly injury.
