Research on Occupational Fatigue of Emergency Nurses and Styles of Solving

Objective studying factors of occupational fatigue of emergency nurses and styles of solving.Methods We described and analyzed the factors such as educational background,working age and job titles of 102 nurses,evaluated the physical and psychological fatigue by the "FS-14 scale" and then compared the their difference of the way of coping with the scales and occupational fatigue according to the "FS-14 scale".Results Scores of physical fatigue and fatigue in the group of tertiary education,Bachelor degree and above were significantly lower than the secondary education group(P<0.05).Scores of physical fatigue in the group Bachelor degree and above were significantly lower than the tertiary education group(P<0.05).Scores of the group(<5 years old) were significantly higher than the group(5 to 10 and 10 to 20)(P<0.01).Scores of the group(>20 years old) were significantly higher than the group(5 to 10 and 10 to 20)(P<0.05).Scores of physical fatigue and fatigue ranked in descending order are as follows: nurses,senior nurses,charge nurses and deputy directors of the nurse.The difference among the groups was great(P<0.05).Conclusion Occupational fatigue of emergency nurses was closely related to their educational background,working age and job titles.Their capacity of coping with occupational fatigue should be strengthened.
